How to Install Gutter Trim External Corners

An Integra Trim external corner joins two gutter-trim lengths at an outside right angle. The key details are the 4mm expansion gap and bonding only one inside edge of the corner component.

Quick answer

Butt the two gutter-trim lengths at 90 degrees with a 4mm gap, glue one inside edge of the external-corner component, activate the matching trim surface and hold the component until the bond is solid.

What you need

  • Matching Integra Trim Gutter Trim External Corner
  • Suitable superglue
  • uPVC superglue activator
  • Clean, dry and contamination-free trim surfaces

Four installation steps

  1. Form the corner. Butt-join the two gutter-trim lengths at the external right angle and leave a 4mm expansion gap.
  2. Glue one edge only. Apply superglue to one inside edge of the corner component so the other side can accommodate movement.
  3. Apply activator. Treat the gutter-trim surface that will meet the glued edge.
  4. Fit the component. Press it down into the corner and hold until the bond is solid.

Where gutter trim meets raised kerb

At an external transition, use the Raised Kerb external-corner component and remove only the Raised Kerb side of its backing arrangement as shown in the current manufacturer guide.
