How to Install Integra Raised Kerb Trim

Integra Raised Kerb Trim creates a water-check edge that directs runoff toward the gutter side of the flat roof. It relies on a sound fascia fixing, correctly bonded membrane and compressed foam seal.

Quick answer

Provide at least 50mm of membrane overhang, bond it over the deck and fascia, trim and fold the corner, then press the raised kerb trim onto the membrane and fix every pre-drilled hole with a 50mm PolyTop nail.

Materials and tools

  • 2.5m Integra Raised Kerb Trim lengths
  • 50mm PolyTop nails
  • FlexiProof Contact Bonding Adhesive
  • FlexiProof Contact Spray Aerosol where specified for Fleece-Backed EPDM
  • Scissors or craft knife, hammer, screwdriver and roller

Before starting

Check that the fascia is solid, high enough for the trim and capable of holding every PolyTop fixing. The roof, membrane and trim must be clean, dry and free from contamination. Remove the protective film before final fitting.

Eight installation steps

  1. Check the fascia and overhang. Provide a sound fixing point and at least 50mm of membrane beyond the fascia.
  2. Coat the deck and fascia. Apply compatible FlexiProof contact adhesive evenly; use the stated spray route for fleece-backed membrane.
  3. Coat the membrane. Apply an even coat to the underside as directed for the selected membrane.
  4. Lay and smooth. Roll the membrane onto the roof deck and fascia without bubbles or creases.
  5. Trim and fold. Cut excess membrane neatly and form the side flap.
  6. Remove the film. Peel the protective layer from the raised kerb trim.
  7. Compress the seal. Position the trim and press firmly down and inward against the membrane.
  8. Fix every hole. Install a 50mm PolyTop nail into each pre-drilled hole.

Frequently asked questions

How much membrane should overhang the fascia?

The supplied guide states at least 50mm before trimming and folding.

What does raised kerb trim do?

It creates a water-check edge that stops runoff leaving that side and directs it toward the gutter edge.

Do I fix every pre-drilled hole?

Yes. The guide requires a 50mm PolyTop nail in every pre-drilled hole.

Why press the trim down and inward?

That compresses the underside foam strip against the EPDM to form the intended watertight seal.
