Integra Trim Gutter Trim forms the roof’s drip edge and directs rainwater into the gutter. Correct installation depends on a level fascia batten, full membrane adhesion, the foam compression seal and every specified fixing.
Fix the back plate to a level 38mm × 25mm fascia batten, bond the membrane over the deck, batten and back plate, then fit the front plate and secure every pre-drilled hole with a 50mm PolyTop nail.

- Timber batten: required width × 38mm high × 25mm deep
- Steel ringshank nails or countersunk screws
- 50mm PolyTop nails
- FlexiProof Contact Bonding Adhesive
- Scissors or craft knife, hammer, screwdriver and roller
Before starting
The roof, trim and membrane must be clean, dry and free from dust and contamination. Remove the protective film before final fitting. The trim’s pre-drilled holes are set at 345mm centres for the intended compression seal.
Nine installation steps
- Prepare the batten. Fix a sound 38mm × 25mm timber batten to the fascia with its top level with the roof deck.
- Fix the back plate. Secure it to the batten with 50mm ringshank nails at 200mm centres, or suitable countersunk screws.
- Coat the deck and batten. Apply FlexiProof Contact Bonding Adhesive evenly; for Fleece-Backed EPDM use the stated spray route.
- Coat the membrane. Apply the compatible contact adhesive evenly to the underside as directed.
- Lay the membrane. Roll it smoothly over the deck, timber batten and back plate, removing bubbles and creases.
- Trim and fold. Cut excess membrane neatly and form the side flap. With fleece-backed membrane, bond beneath the batten so exposed fleece cannot wick rainwater.
- Remove the film. Peel the protective film from the gutter-trim front plate.
- Fit the front plate. Press it down and inward so the foam strip compresses against the membrane and the top edge sits slightly below membrane level.
- Secure the trim. Hammer a 50mm PolyTop nail into every pre-drilled hole.
